College libraries serve the students and staff of the institutions they are part of. Their collections are tailored to the disciplines taught at each institution and their services are designed to meet the needs of the local academic community.
The CDC, on the other hand, provides a specialized collection and services focused on college-level education. It supports teaching, professional, and administrative staff across the entire college network, regardless of their institutional affiliation.
