** Always verify the rules of a Library before your visit. **
If you are an instructor-researcher who needs access to the scientific literature in your area of interest …
… and you have searched the resources offered by the library in your college or Cegep; on EDUQ.info; in the Centre de documentation collégiale (CDC) recommended databases as well as the resources available at Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ) without finding what you need for your research, there is yet another option.
Thanks to an agreement negotiated by the Association pour la recherche au collégial (ARC), you can access certain Quebec university library resources, on site, by getting a PBUQ Card – an interuniversity loan card – (formerly known as a green card CREPUQ card, or BCI Card) from the Bureau de coopération interuniversitaire (BCI), that is now the Partenariat des bibliothèques universitaires du Québec (PBUQ).
What can I do with the card? See the agreement.
What are the privileges of instructor-researchers and researchers in the college network? You can borrow books from Quebec universities, most of the time in the same way as undergraduate students do. With regard to accessing databases (scientific articles, etc.) or borrowing e-books, some university libraries provide on-site access to certain databases if a request is made at the library Information Desk. For the time being, no library provides remote access to its digital resources; you must borrow in person. There are special agreements between certain Cegeps and universities; you can find out from your college or Cegep librarians, or from the university itself at the library Information Desk.
How do I get a card? Submit a letter (email) of authorization to the BCI, signed by the Academic Dean of your college or Cegep or by the Administration of your College Centre for the Transfer of Technologies (CCTT).
To simplify the process, a single letter/email may be used to for all applicants from the same establishment.

Je vous saurais donc gré d’émettre à son nom une carte BCI et de la lui poster à l’adresse [du collège ou du centre] que vous trouverez ci-dessous.

How do I renew my card? To simplify the process, a single letter may be used to for all applicants from the same establishment.
